The quick version
Downloading a reel takes under a minute on any device:

Step 1: Copy the video link
Open the reel or video in the Facebook app or website, tap Share and choose Copy link.

Step 2: Paste it into FB Reels Downloader
Paste the link into the box at the top of this page and press Download.

Step 3: Choose a format
Pick HD or SD MP4 with sound, or Audio to save only the soundtrack as M4A.

Step 4: Save the file
Your browser downloads the file to its usual Downloads folder (the Files app on iPhone, Downloads on Android and computers).
How to download Facebook Reels on Android
- Open the reel in the Facebook app and tap the Share arrow, then Copy link.
- Open FB Reels Downloader in Chrome, Samsung Internet or Firefox.
- Tap the Paste button (or long-press the box and choose Paste), then tap Download.
- Tap Download next to HD. The progress appears in your notification shade.
- Find the video in the Downloads folder, or in Google Photos / Gallery under Download.
How to download Facebook Reels on iPhone & iPad
- In the Facebook app, tap Share → Copy link on the reel.
- Open Safari and go to fbreels.downloaderize.com.
- Paste the link and tap Download, then tap Download next to the format you want and confirm.
- Tap the blue download arrow in Safari’s address bar to see the file. It is saved in Files → Downloads.
- To add it to your camera roll, open the file, tap Share and choose Save Video.
Tip: iOS 13 or later is required for Safari downloads. Chrome for iOS also works and saves to the same Downloads folder.
How to download Facebook Reels on Windows, Mac & Linux
- Open the reel on facebook.com and copy the URL from the address bar (it looks like
facebook.com/reel/123…). - Paste it into the box on our homepage and click Download.
- Click Download next to HD. Your browser saves the MP4 to the default Downloads folder.
Playing the file? Windows Media Player, the Photos app, QuickTime and VLC all open it without extra codecs.

Troubleshooting
“This video is private or only visible to logged-in users”
The reel is not public: it may be limited to friends, a group, or an age-restricted audience. Only publicly viewable videos can be downloaded.
The download link expired
Facebook’s file links are signed and expire after a while. Paste the original reel link again to generate fresh download links.
The video plays in the browser instead of downloading
Use the blue Download button next to the format you want; it always saves a file. If your browser still opens the video, right-click or long-press it and choose Save video as….
